The silk Road: Between Past and Future

Today, November 23rd 2022 I had the rare privilege to lecture at the Department of History at the Karaganda University "Buketov". I addressed the rise of the new Silk Road, following a lead by Professor Frankopan who has been writing about this for years.

I believe the future of Central Asia is to become a service society, taking care of hubs, logistics, multimodal transports and alike.

Hubs are rising: and this short clip I mention the successful story of Istanbul as hub for international flights.
